These are made from cedar which bug resistant should last years. Noah Swartzentruber makes them all of them using local wood. He and 3 of is sons work on making these. It takes about two to three hours each. Many people like to put them on their porched or patios. He attaches chains at the top for easy installation.
The Acrons have 2 screws that are on the top of the cap so that they can be unscrewed to cleaned out annually. Also, there are to drain holes at the bottom for drainage.
