These are made from recycled plastic which should last 30+ years. Jesse Yoder makes them all of them using stainless steel screws. They are easy to install just take out the star screw on the side with 3 screws and the front door pivots downwards. Drill four holes but make sure that you have enough room to get your screw driver in to tighten them. We recommend putting them onto a wooden fence, building, or tree where critters cannot get to the birds. Also, Bluebirds like there distance from each other so at least 100 feet or even more!
